All our PVC Windows (Sliding Sash style may vary) are 70mm section Kapcell Fully Sculpted with steel reinforcement which gives you not only the best looking PVC Windows but the most secure, the very smallest of PVC Windows will not have steel reinforecement.
We made a firm decision at the start to only supply all PVC Windows with Low “E” “Argon Gas” filled 28mm double glazing units constructed as 4mm thick glass - 20mm spacer - 4mm thick glass, all with toughened safety glass as standard, we also include an “Edgetech TriSeal Superspacer” for the double glazing units, without getting to technical, this specialist spacer sits between the two panes of glass that form the double glazed unit, this simply but very effectively prevents the transfer of cold air from the outside to the inside of your home.
Important Note;
Some of our larger PVC Windows may be supplied with the "dead pane" glass delivered loose to allow for site fixing and for transportation, the glass is easily installed again by you on site, all our PVC Windows and PVC Doors achieve an indicative U-value of 1.6W/m2K.
All PVC Window measurements in the "Adjustable Pane" sizes are to the centre of the "Transom or the Mullion", the "Transom" is the horizontal rail between eg; a top sash and a bottom dead pane, the "Mullion" is the vertical rail between eg; an opening sash and a dead pane.

Time for the technical bit;
To achieve an energy rating of “C” or better, a combination of Low E glass, Argon gas filling and a good warm edge spacer such as that outlined above is required, “TriSeal”spacer is 950 times less conductive than an aluminium spacer which reduces overall window values by up to 0.2W/m2k, in short, all our PVC Windows are constructed as outlined and are therefore able to demonstrate this rating and show that they are achieving a “C” rating as outlined by the British Fenestration Ratings Council and the Energy Savings Trust, an “Energy Savings Tag” certification mark is therefore applicable.
We are also delighted to confirm that our PVC Window construction results in up to a 2dB (decibel) noise reduction, they have high UV resistance and can cope with a phenomenal range in temperature from -51*C to +127*C, they can also reduce condensation by up to 70% and are up to 65% warmer at the edge of the glass, a truly award winning performance as demonstrated in a recent test carried out by the Glass & Glazing Federation.
